Software Project Manager

About the role

The Software Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of software‑focused projects, ensuring they meet business objectives, stay within budget, and satisfy stakeholder expectations. This position requires strong coordination, risk management, and communication skills to drive projects to successful completion.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans covering scope, timelines, and resource needs.
• Identify, allocate, and optimise project resources.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project execution against approved timelines, budgets, and scope.
• Document progress, decisions, and challenges in the project management system.
• Prepare regular status reports and escalation logs for stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to documentation standards and timely delivery of deliverables.
• Act as primary point of contact for stakeholders, facilitating clear communication.
• Organise and lead project meetings, including kick‑offs, status updates, and post‑mortems.
• Address stakeholder concerns promptly and align project goals with expectations.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, monitoring productivity and identifying training needs.
• Evaluate team performance and ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Lead and execute specific projects or tasks assigned by management.
• Publish key reports and dashboards on schedule.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification preferred.
• 3+ years of project management experience, preferably in IT services.
• Experience managing cross‑functional teams and large‑scale projects is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Knowledge of IT services and project delivery methodologies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Azure DevOps).
