Software Testing Director – Lead QA Strategy

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Software Testing Director to elevate our testing practices and ensure high‑quality delivery for our customers. You will shape the testing strategy, drive both manual and automated initiatives, and partner closely with development teams across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute manual and automated test plans, establishing quality control standards.
• Collaborate with development teams to design, implement, and run tests that meet agreed acceptance criteria.
• Lead the creation, design, and execution of test cases, procedures, and suites, overseeing defect analysis and resolution.
• Document high‑risk areas, provide mitigation strategies, and ensure coverage for components not addressed by automation.
• Participate in setting acceptance criteria for new features and architectural changes.
• Determine optimal test and deployment strategies, adhering to agile principles.
• Analyze defect data to assess severity, impact, and prioritize testing efforts.
• Author and supervise a comprehensive technical product testing plan with clear timelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in software testing, including at least 5 years in a director‑level role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• ISTQB certification and proven expertise in test automation.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, SQL, IIS, and TFS.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
