Steel Factory Manager – Operations & Production Lead

About the role

The Steel Factory Manager will oversee the overall operation and management of Red Sea Shipyard's steel factory. The role ensures production plans are executed on schedule, meeting quality and delivery targets while continuously improving operational efficiency. You will lead technical and workforce resources, uphold safety standards, and drive performance reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the entire operation and management of the steel factory.
• Ensure production plans are executed according to approved schedules, targets, and quality standards.
• Manage technical and workforce resources, driving continuous efficiency improvements.
• Plan, organize, and monitor production activities to achieve productivity, quality, and delivery goals.
• Monitor preventive maintenance programs and ensure machinery reliability.
• Implement and maintain occupational health and safety standards throughout the facility.
• Ensure compliance with operating procedures, quality requirements, and safety regulations.
• Track factory performance, identify process‑improvement opportunities, and report KPIs to senior management.
• Lead, motivate, and develop factory teams to meet production and operational objectives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience managing steel factories, steel manufacturing facilities, or metal‑structure plants.
• Experience with major companies or large‑scale industrial operations is highly preferred.
• Background in shipyards, shipbuilding, or marine steel structures is a strong advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large teams and achieve production and quality targets.
• Solid experience in production planning, operations management, quality control, and performance improvement.
• Good knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements in industrial environments.
• Strong leadership, organizational, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple operational priorities.
• Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
