Storekeeper

About the role

The Storekeeper will manage all inventory for the new Morgans Originals hotel in Egypt, ensuring that supplies are received, stored, and distributed efficiently across departments. This role supports the smooth operation of the property by maintaining accurate stock records and adhering to safety and hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and check incoming stock for quality and quantity against order specifications.
• Organise and store inventory in an orderly, efficient manner, applying FIFO rotation.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of stock levels in the inventory management system.
• Issue supplies to kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance and other departments as required.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts and report any discrepancies.
• Assist with reordering when stock levels run low.
• File and maintain purchase orders, invoices and delivery notes for audit purposes.
• Inspect goods for quality, report damaged or expired items to suppliers and management.
• Ensure storage complies with safety, health and hygiene regulations, including handling of hazardous or perishable items.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by management to support departmental goals.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; background in logistics or supply‑chain management is advantageous.
• Previous experience in inventory management or storekeeping, preferably within a hotel, restaurant or similar environment.
• Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of inventory systems and stock management.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments.
