Student Life Specialist – Campus Engagement

About the role

The Student Life Specialist will actively support university activities that boost student engagement, retention, and academic success. This role involves administrative duties, event coordination, and serving as a key point of contact for student well‑being.

Key responsibilities

• Support university initiatives that enhance student engagement, retention, and academic success.
• Perform general administrative tasks: welcome visitors, respond to inquiries, manage files, monitor supplies, and keep the office organized.
• Recruit, train, and supervise student assistants for the Student Life Office and Recreation Room.
• Assist with department budgeting: monitor expenses, process purchase requests, and oversee related financial transactions.
• Maintain and regularly update the main campus event calendars for effective communication across departments.
• Keep accurate records for the Student Service Fee Advisory Committee.
• Coordinate facility booking requests with the Master Calendar Coordinator.
• Advise, mentor, and oversee the Student Union, student clubs, and academic models such as Model UN.
• Provide guidance on campus resources and manage initial interventions during student crises or conflicts.
• Ensure student events comply with university safety policies and local regulatory requirements.
• Develop and execute orientation and integration programs for new, transferring, and international students.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by management within the same specialty.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Exceptional organizational attention to detail.
• Effective time‑management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
