Supply Chain Director

About the role

The Supply Chain Director leads end‑to‑end supply chain activities, overseeing logistics, inventory, procurement and distribution to ensure efficient operations and achievement of organizational KPIs. This role works closely with internal functions such as manufacturing, sales, finance and external partners including vendors and regulatory authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Direct all functions involved in purchasing, logistics, soft‑goods warehousing and material control from forecasting to final product delivery.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and ethical standards related to supply chain.
• Lead and coach teams on cGMP, quality control and safety excellence.
• Identify obstacles, implement solutions and drive continuous improvement, Kaizen/Lean projects and productivity gains.
• Participate in SAP design, implementation and optimisation.
• Develop, manage and monitor departmental budgets and annual performance targets.
• Create comprehensive procurement SOPs in collaboration with Legal and Finance.
• Oversee the full production flow, from raw‑material logistics to final product distribution.
• Manage supply‑chain risk, ensuring minimal operational or reputational impact.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Pharmaceutical, Business or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 12 years of operations/production experience, including at least 5 years in strategic sourcing or purchasing.
• At least 5 years managing multidisciplinary or matrix teams.
• Strong analytical abilities, leadership capabilities and a results‑driven mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP preferred.
• Knowledge of Material Resource Planning (MRP) concepts.
