Supply Chain Planner

About the role

The Supply Chain Planner will support supply and production planning activities for Ball’s sustainable aluminium packaging business. You will ensure timely material availability, effective inventory management, and fulfillment of customer demand across domestic and international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales teams to improve forecast accuracy and meet customer demand.
• Create and maintain supply and production plans aligned with central planning targets.
• Coordinate metal and ends supply planning and communicate plans to stakeholders.
• Develop production schedules while considering maintenance, holidays, and capacity constraints.
• Raise and manage purchase orders through the MRP system to secure material availability.
• Expedite and reschedule purchase orders as production needs evolve.
• Monitor finished‑goods, metal and ends stock levels, flag risks, and communicate issues.
• Support inventory control and replenishment to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Use SAP for planning, reporting, and data maintenance.
• Prepare regular planning, inventory, and variance reports and conduct data analysis.
• Track delivery timelines and work with logistics to ensure smooth shipments.
• Assist with phase‑in and phase‑out planning for new materials and products.

Required profile

• University degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in planning, procurement or supply‑chain operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on experience with MRP systems; SAP experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, planning and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good IT and reporting skills, including analytical reporting tools.
• APICS CSCP certification is a plus.
