System Validation Engineer, LIGHT

About the role

Valeo is seeking a System Validation Engineer (LIGHT) to define and execute product system test strategies in line with customer and Valeo standards. You will work closely with product architects, design leaders, and validation teams to ensure functional validation meets project commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Define test strategy based on specifications and risk analyses (PCA, PHA, DFMEA, Newness analysis).
• Analyze system and functional requirements and allocate test strategy.
• Create functional test plans, support test‑bench and script specifications, and develop required tools.
• Execute test cases on the bench, extend coverage with robustness and end‑user tests, and report results.
• Validate test prerequisites, ensure lab equipment availability, and archive reports in PLM.
• Report issues, track progress via SyVSR dashboard, and assess functional validation risks.
• Contribute to functional DR validation checklist reviews and maintain IVV plan and reports.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of automotive validation standards and risk analysis methods.
• Experience defining test strategies and functional test plans.
• Ability to work with test benches, scripts, and validation tools.
• Good documentation skills and familiarity with PLM systems.
