Systems Assurance Manager

About the role

Hill International is seeking a Systems Assurance Manager to oversee the delivery of safety, reliability, availability, maintainability and security (RAMS) milestones for a major rail project. The role ensures that all contractor deliverables meet the required standards and are submitted on schedule and with high quality.

Key responsibilities

• Review and monitor contractor Systems Assurance milestones, ensuring timely and quality deliverables.
• Analyse functional requirements and RAM/Safety documentation, providing comments and guidance.
• Lead the preparation of Safety Cases and RAM Demonstrations in compliance with EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129 and IEC 61508.
• Promote a progressive assurance methodology and report progress to the client’s System Assurance Management.
• Identify, assess and manage project risks, producing assurance reports based on contractor submissions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to minimise project risks and ensure alignment with RAMS targets.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in systems assurance, safety, or reliability engineering.
• Deep knowledge of EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, IEC 61508 or comparable standards.
• Experience with requirements and configuration management tools such as DOORS or CP2.
• Proven ability to lead systems engineering activities in line with ISO/IEC 15288.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
