Tax Accountant – Mohandseen, Giza

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Tax Accountant to join our finance team in Mohandseen, Giza. The role involves managing all tax‑related matters, ensuring timely and accurate filings in line with Egyptian tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file monthly and quarterly VAT returns in compliance with the Egyptian Tax Authority.
• Calculate, withhold, and remit withholding taxes on payments to suppliers and contractors.
• Prepare payroll tax returns and assist with annual corporate income tax filings.
• Reconcile tax accounts with the general ledger on a monthly basis.
• Maintain tax‑compliant invoices and organized documentation for audits.
• Respond to inquiries from the tax authority and support tax audits.
• Stay updated on changes to Egyptian tax laws and advise internal teams on tax implications.
• Support the finance team during month‑end and year‑end closing processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–5 years of tax accounting experience, preferably in Egypt.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian VAT, withholding, payroll and corporate income tax regulations.
• Excellent Arabic for communication with tax authorities and good English for internal reporting.
• Ability to work full‑time onsite in Mohandseen.

Required skills

• Proficiency with tax software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Odoo).
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP and complex formulas.
