Tax Manager - Indirect Tax

About the role

Gevernova is looking for a Tax Manager (Indirect Tax) in Cairo. The role oversees and manages withholding tax (WHT) activities end to end, ensuring tax compliance, effective risk management, accurate accounting and timely resolution of operational and technical issues. It calls for strong technical tax and accounting expertise, independent judgment and accountability for the quality and delivery of tax compliance, audit management, accounting and operational activities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage end-to-end WHT activities across the assigned scope
• Identify and mitigate tax risks and strengthen controllership and internal controls
• Optimize tax recovery and drive continuous process improvement
• Manage audit-related activities and ensure timely resolution of operational and technical issues
• Guide team members, resolve complex issues and align tax activities with broader business and financial objectives

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from an accredited university or college
• At least 7 years of experience in taxation and accounting
• Fluency in English and Arabic
• Experience executing functional policy and strategy, with some autonomy within standard functional practices

• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to explain complex tax matters to diverse stakeholders
• Leadership capability, including technical guidance and team support
