Tax Specialist

About the role

Join a dynamic multinational environment as a Tax Specialist based in Cairo, Egypt. You will support tax operations across eight countries in the UAE Operating Countries cluster, gaining broad regional exposure to corporate tax, tax accounting, compliance, reporting, and international tax matters.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review corporate income tax returns, tax computations and related schedules for multiple jurisdictions.
• Assist with tax accounting activities including current tax, deferred tax, effective tax rate analysis, provisions, reconciliations and audit support.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual tax reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with finance, accounting, shared services and external tax advisors to gather information and resolve queries.
• Assist with international tax matters such as withholding tax, permanent establishment assessments, cross‑border transactions and treaty analysis.
• Support tax audits, assessments and authority inquiries by preparing data, reconciliations and documentation.
• Maintain compliance trackers, monitor deadlines and escalate risks as needed.
• Contribute to process improvements, standardisation and documentation of tax workflows.
• Prepare clear summaries, status updates and analytical reports for management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Business or a related discipline.
• 3‑5 years of relevant tax experience, preferably in corporate income tax, tax accounting, compliance or international taxation.
• Experience in a Big Four firm or multinational organization is preferred.
• Strong understanding of corporate income tax principles and tax accounting concepts.
• Professional qualification or progress toward ACCA, CPA, CMA, CTA or equivalent is advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel across the region as required.
