Team Lead - Reverse Engineering

About the role

Group-IB is seeking a Team Lead for Reverse Engineering to head a high‑impact squad that supports customer investigations, DFIR engagements, and threat‑intelligence production. The role blends deep technical expertise with people‑management to deliver actionable malware insights and regional threat analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and prioritize work for a team of reverse engineers.
• Assign tasks based on customer RFIs, DFIR needs and intelligence requirements.
• Review technical analyses, reports, YARA rules, configuration extractors and capability assessments.
• Define analysis depth—from triage to deep code‑level reversing—according to case priority.
• Maintain high‑quality documentation, reusable knowledge bases and consistent analytical standards.
• Coach team members on advanced reversing techniques, tooling, automation and research methodology.
• Produce threat‑intelligence outputs such as malware profiles, actor capability assessments, campaign analyses, technical blogs and detection logic.
• Drive R&D improvements in reverse‑engineering workflows, tooling and automation.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in malware reverse engineering and digital forensics.
• Proven track record of leading technical teams and delivering high‑quality analysis.
• Strong research orientation with the ability to translate technical findings into actionable intelligence.
• Familiarity with the Middle‑East threat landscape is a plus.
