Technical Office Engineer – Heavy Lifting & Transport

About the role

The Technical Office Engineer will support EWA Group’s heavy‑lifting and transport projects in Alexandria. Reporting to the Projects Manager / Engineering Manager, the role develops engineering studies, technical documentation, and plans that ensure safe and efficient execution of complex logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare lifting plans for cranes, gantries, jacking systems, skidding systems, SPMTs, hydraulic trailers and other specialised equipment.
• Develop transportation studies including route surveys, bridge assessments, axle‑load distribution, turning‑radius and swept‑path analyses.
• Design and review rigging arrangements for heavy‑lift operations.
• Perform engineering calculations for lifting, transportation, load distribution, ground bearing pressure, stability and equipment utilisation.
• Create detailed AutoCAD drawings and technical layouts for lifting, transportation, storage and installation activities.
• Produce Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Lift Plans, Job Safety Analyses, Inspection & Test Plans and other project documentation.
• Coordinate technical submissions with clients, consultants, EPC contractors and other stakeholders.
• Support the commercial team during tender preparation by providing technical studies, execution methodologies and cost optimisation.
• Assist project execution by attending site visits, performing technical inspections and providing on‑site support during critical operations.

• Based in Alexandria, Egypt.
