Tendering & Procurement Engineer

About the role

The Tendering & Procurement Engineer will work on‑site in Qesm El Maadi, supporting Al Mowared’s electromechanical projects in firefighting, HVAC and electrical systems. You will prepare competitive tender offers and manage the full procurement cycle to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

Key responsibilities

• Source qualified suppliers and subcontractors for project requirements.
• Issue RFQs, compare technical and commercial offers, and negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare purchase orders and follow up until material delivery.
• Maintain vendor databases and track delivery schedules.
• Review tender documents, drawings, BOQs and technical specifications.
• Prepare technical and commercial offers for electromechanical projects.
• Perform quantity take‑offs from drawings and evaluate supplier quotations.
• Coordinate with project engineers, warehouse, technical and estimation teams.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, standards and company policies.
• Participate in post‑tender clarifications and negotiations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering.
• 1–3 years of experience in tendering and procurement for firefighting, HVAC or electrical projects.
• Strong knowledge of fire‑fighting systems, HVAC, plumbing and mechanical materials (preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines on‑site.
