Tendering Section Head

About the role

DMC-CURVE is seeking a Tendering Section Head to lead the preparation of cost studies and bid proposals for construction projects. The role involves analysing tender documents, preparing accurate cost breakdowns, and ensuring timely submission of commercial and technical bids.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and quantify cost factors such as production time, materials, and labour expenses.
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns for items in Tender BOQs.
• Visit job sites to gather information on material requirements and labour needs.
• Read and interpret all tender documents to develop accurate estimates.
• Recommend cost‑reduction measures while maintaining quality standards.
• Prepare subcontractor packages (drawings, BOQs, specifications), follow up, and compare quotations.
• Determine indirect costs and overhead for each tender project.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering.
• 5–7 years of experience in tendering, cost estimation, and BOQ preparation.
• Proven experience with contracting or consulting firms is preferred.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight tender deadlines.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel for cost calculations.
• Good command of MS Word and PowerPoint for proposal preparation.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with planning and estimation software such as Primavera or MS Project.
• Experience preparing detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and subcontractor inquiry packages.
