Underground Shift Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Underground Shift Supervisor to lead the daily underground shift at the Sukari gold mine in Marsa Alam, Egypt. The role ensures safe, compliant and productive execution of the 24‑hour plan, coordinating personnel, equipment and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑shift meetings, review the 24‑hour plan and align execution with planning, geology, survey and geotechnical inputs.
• Control drill‑and‑blast operations: verify locations and patterns, ensure sign‑off before charging and maintain accurate records.
• Supervise load‑and‑haul activities: allocate LHD and haulage resources, monitor ore/waste segregation and manage tipping, stockpiling and re‑handling.
• Inspect ground control, support services (ventilation, water, electrical, backfill) and promptly escalate constraints.
• Enforce HSE critical controls, conduct workplace inspections, task observations and stop work when controls are not met.
• Respond to incidents, support investigations, drive corrective actions and communicate learnings.
• Maintain shift production, development, equipment and survey data; prepare timely reports and highlight variances.

Required profile

• Valid Shift Boss ticket from a reputable institute.
• 8–10 years of underground mining experience in production and development, with proven crew supervision.
• Demonstrated coordination of drill‑and‑blast, load‑and‑haul and underground services.
• Strong competence in risk assessment, critical‑control verification, workplace inspections and task observations.
