Underwriting Specialist

About the role

Tabby is looking for an Underwriting Specialist to validate and analyse merchant‑submitted documents, ensuring they meet the company’s guidelines. The role involves matching eligible applicants with Tabby’s risk criteria and supporting merchants throughout the underwriting process.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse submitted merchant documents to confirm compliance with internal guidelines.
• Provide underwriting support to merchants, guiding them on correct documentation.
• Request additional or missing documentation when necessary to reach a decision.
• Approve, counter‑offer, or deny merchant files based on eligibility assessment.

Required profile

• Organised, detail‑oriented and analytical.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; a team player.
• Ability to work weekends according to business needs.
• Capable of multitasking in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university.
• Underwriting background is a plus.
• Fluent Arabic and good command of written English.
• Knowledge of MS Office.
