Utilities Engineer – Maintenance & Operations

About the role

The Utilities Engineer is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining all utility systems that support production at Dreem Mashreq Foods. This role ensures reliable power, water, and climate control while driving efficiency and compliance with food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain utility systems including boilers, chillers, refrigeration, air compressors, HVAC, and steam systems.
• Manage water treatment operations to meet production and regulatory quality requirements.
• Oversee power supply systems, such as generators and transformers, ensuring continuous and stable operation.
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot utility breakdowns, implementing timely repairs.
• Drive energy management initiatives to reduce consumption and operating costs.
• Monitor utility KPIs and consumption trends, analyzing data for improvement opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, ISO, and other food safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with procurement for critical parts availability.
• Support utility‑related installation, commissioning, and modification projects.
• Maintain health, safety, and environmental standards during all utility operations.
• Maintain accurate operation and maintenance records, work orders, and reports in the ERP system.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4–7 years of utilities experience, preferably in food, pharmaceuticals, or similar manufacturing industries.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of boilers, chillers, compressors, HVAC, refrigeration, and water treatment systems.
• Solid understanding of energy management, preventive maintenance, and food safety standards (GMP, HACCP).
• Proficiency in ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
