Warehouse Receiver – Stock Inspection & Merchandising

About the role

As a Receiver at talabat, you will be the first point of contact for all incoming stock at our stores. You will ensure that every shipment is inspected for quality, expiry dates, and count accuracy, while keeping the store inventory organized and ready for sale.

Key responsibilities

• Receive incoming stock shipments from suppliers, distribution centres and stores.
• Inspect deliveries for damages, discrepancies, shortages and report them promptly.
• Match invoices, verify prices and expiry dates for all products.
• Conduct quality checks on fresh and ultra‑fresh items.
• Record all receivings accurately in the Warehouse Management System.
• Merchandise, replenish and organize inventory using the FEFO (First Expire First Out) method.
• Coordinate put‑away with pickers to ensure timely shelf placement.
• Maintain clear aisles and a clean receiving area.
• Collaborate with suppliers, commercial and inventory teams to resolve shipment issues.
• Maintain logs related to supplier receivings.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in warehousing, stock receiving or inventory management, preferably in the grocery sector.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage time and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
• Physical capability to handle tasks in various store conditions.
