Wet Utilities Team Leader

About the role

We are looking for a Wet Utilities Team Leader to head the design and delivery of large‑scale water, irrigation, storm‑water and wastewater networks for infrastructure and mixed‑use projects. The role is based in our Cairo office and will support developments across Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage multidisciplinary wet‑utilities design teams for major infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and review designs for potable water, irrigation, storm‑water and wastewater networks in line with the Saudi Building Code, MEWA guidelines and BS EN standards.
• Coordinate wet‑utility designs with other engineering disciplines to ensure fully integrated solutions.
• Conduct technical reviews, quality checks and ensure designs are ready for authority approvals.
• Liaise with clients, local authorities and stakeholders to guarantee timely delivery and regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering knowledge transfer within the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental or Water Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in wet‑utilities design, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record delivering projects in Saudi Arabia with deep knowledge of local authority processes.
• Strong communication skills in English and ability to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• Resilience, solution‑oriented mindset and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency with WaterCAD.
• Proficiency with SewerGEMS.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of SBC, MEWA guidelines and relevant international standards.
