Wet Utility Project Manager

About the role

The Wet Utility Project Manager will lead the planning, execution and delivery of wet utility infrastructure projects such as potable water, sewerage, storm‑water drainage, irrigation and firefighting networks across the North Coast region. The role ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget and in full compliance with contractual, quality and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead wet utility projects from concept through commissioning and handover.
• Develop and manage Project Execution Plans, schedules, resource and procurement plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Monitor progress against approved schedules, budgets and KPIs, implementing corrective actions when needed.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning activities, ensuring seamless sequencing across disciplines.
• Integrate utility works with roads, highways, electrical, telecom, street lighting, landscaping and structural works, resolving interface issues.
• Manage contract administration, variation orders, claims, extensions of time and commercial submissions.
• Oversee budgets, cash flow, cost forecasts and financial performance.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, consultants, utility authorities, subcontractors and government agencies, conducting progress meetings and presenting status reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading wet utility infrastructure projects.
• Strong ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage subcontractors.
• Experience in contract administration, budgeting and financial monitoring.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
