Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented accountant to join our finance team. The role involves handling daily accounting operations, supporting month‑end and year‑end closing, and contributing to accurate financial reporting in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and post journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year‑end closing activities.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Support preparation of periodical financial reports.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Reconcile statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, social security requirements, and other official reporting obligations.
• Assist with audits as needed.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards.
• Experience in taxation, social security, and official reporting requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Excellent command of English (spoken & written).
• Previous experience within retail or distribution companies is a strong advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
