Accountant

About the role

This position is responsible for validating, processing and posting all journal entries accurately and in a timely manner. The accountant will assist on client engagements with monthly closings and analysis, supporting the Accounting Advisor and working within a team to enhance client deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Execute work according to Standard Operating Procedures, firm methodologies and professional standards.
• Collect, organize and record all financial documentation promptly.
• Post and process all transactions accurately to ensure complete business records.
• Update accounts payable and perform month‑end reconciliations.
• Validate petty‑cash transactions and confirm ending balances.
• Post, monitor and review payroll entries.
• Reconcile bank statements weekly and keep financial data up to date.
• Assist in preparing client deliverables and service delivery.
• Provide support to the advisory team for client queries and ensure timely information.
• Coordinate with the team to supply documents during audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce or Finance.
• Professional qualification such as CMA, CPA or CA is a plus.
• Experience with small‑medium businesses and related tools/systems is advantageous.
• Understanding of financial statements and analysis.
• High proficiency in Excel, Word and Windows‑based applications.
