Accounts Receivable (AR) Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accounts Receivable (AR) Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team. The role involves managing customer receipts, collections, and reconciliations while maintaining accurate financial records across high‑volume transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Post and allocate daily customer receipts and bank deposits.
• Monitor customer accounts, follow up on overdue invoices and outstanding balances.
• Reconcile sales transactions, bank statements and collection accounts.
• Maintain and clear suspense and clearing accounts.
• Record and reconcile operational fees, service charges and third‑party commissions.
• Investigate discrepancies with banks and external service providers.
• Process credit notes, returns, adjustments and other AR transactions.
• Prepare customer statements, AR aging, reconciliation and collection reports.
• Support month‑end closing and ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
• Collaborate with customers and internal departments to resolve collection and reconciliation issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or financial reconciliation.
• Strong understanding of general ledger, double‑entry accounting and bank reconciliation.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to handle large transaction volumes.
