AI Engineer – 100% Remote

About the role

We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer to join our fully remote team. You will work on a SaaS product where artificial intelligence is the core, building production‑grade LLM features and agent pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement LLM‑powered features and AI agent pipelines from prompt to production.
• Extend and optimise our Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) system, including chunking, embedding models, vector search, hybrid BM25‑semantic retrieval and reranking.
• Develop agentic workflows with tool use, multi‑step reasoning and structured outputs.
• Build document and email processing pipelines for classification, extraction and summarisation.
• Integrate and manage LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic) and AI SDKs across the stack.
• Create evaluation frameworks and feedback loops to continuously improve AI output quality.
• Collaborate in an AI‑first development environment powered by Claude and Cursor.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience delivering production AI systems with large language models.
• Deep familiarity with RAG architectures, vector search and hybrid retrieval.
• Experience with AI SDKs/frameworks such as Vercel AI SDK, LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and comfort with agentic systems.
• Ability to balance cost, latency and quality trade‑offs.
