Application Developer - SAP ABAP HANA

About the role

IBM Consulting is looking for an Application Developer specialized in SAP ABAP and HANA to join its team in Giza, Egypt. You will work on designing, developing, testing, and supporting SAP solutions for a range of clients, helping them modernize their ERP landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain SAP ABAP code following best practices.
• Create technical specifications from conceptual designs and business requirements.
• Collaborate with functional analysts and business users to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including code reviews, testing, and post‑deployment support.
• Identify performance bottlenecks, optimize programs for efficiency and scalability.
• Stay current with ABAP, SAP HANA, and related technologies, recommending improvements where appropriate.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in SAP ABAP HANA development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• Experience gathering and analyzing functional requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Advanced English communication skills and flexibility to work across time zones.
• Relevant SAP certifications are a plus.
