Application Engineer – Water Treatment Systems

About the role

Pure Water Resources is seeking a full‑time Application Engineer to join its Cairo team. You will design, implement and optimise water‑treatment programmes for industrial and commercial clients, ensuring reliable operation of boilers, cooling circuits and related equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site assessments and analyse system performance data.
• Recommend chemical treatment and equipment solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Commission, troubleshoot and optimise filtration, softening, reverse‑osmosis and control systems.
• Prepare technical proposals, reports and documentation.
• Provide training and technical support to customers.
• Collaborate with sales and service teams to ensure regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in industrial water‑treatment, process engineering or utilities operations is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work on‑site in Cairo and travel to customer facilities.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Water treatment systems (boilers, cooling systems, closed circuits, filtration, softeners, reverse osmosis units).
• System analysis, troubleshooting, data interpretation, performance diagnostics, root‑cause analysis.
• Application engineering, project execution, system design support, commissioning, preventive maintenance planning.
• Technical report writing, proposal preparation, documentation.
• Proficiency with MS Office and basic engineering software tools; familiarity with control systems or automation is an advantage.
