Application Engineer – Well Services

About the role

The Application Engineer – Well Services designs, plans, applies and supports well‑service projects across a range of complexities. Working closely with subsurface disciplines, well systems and regulatory teams, you will develop safe and efficient drilling plans that meet client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Support Health, Safety and Environment policies and comply with Weatherford Quality standards.
• Prepare and manage project proposals, ensuring best‑practice drilling programs.
• Provide engineering support to operations, coordinate field projects and conduct HAZID/HAZOP, DWOP and well‑planning meetings.
• Maintain lessons‑learned databases and develop operating procedures for each type of operation.
• Monitor real‑time well‑services jobs, optimise performance and communicate results to customers.
• Run hydraulic simulations, well‑balancing, surge/swab, torque‑and‑drag, directional drilling and casing‑running calculations.
• Audit well‑services jobs, review rig‑visit approvals and support sales/business‑development activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years experience in rig‑less and coiled‑tubing operations.
• Strong background in Production Solutions, Artificial Lifting Systems or Slick‑Line services.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and develop commercial proposals.
• Willingness to travel to remote on‑shore, off‑shore and international locations.
