Area Cost Controller – Hotel Operations

About the role

The Area Cost Controller will oversee cost management for hotel operations, ensuring that each department delivers services efficiently while maintaining high quality standards. This role collaborates with multiple internal teams and external suppliers to control expenses and support profitable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare budgets and track hotel expenses across all departments.
• Collect and analyse cost data from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Produce regular cost and expense reports for senior management.
• Develop bid estimates for new projects and existing initiatives.
• Manage supplier relationships to secure competitive pricing and quality.
• Approve purchases in coordination with the purchasing department.
• Monitor market prices and calculate food & beverage costs where applicable.
• Review expense reports for accuracy and reasonableness.
• Coordinate with HR, payroll, accounting, and finance to ensure accurate cost tracking.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities through detailed analyses.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline.
• Several years of experience in cost control or financial analysis, preferably within hospitality.
• Strong analytical and reporting abilities.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with diverse departments.
