Area Manager I – Operations

About the role

Join Amazon as an Area/Shift Manager and lead a large, diverse team to keep pace with demand. This hands‑on position offers exposure to the complexity of global operations and the chance to ensure seamless daily execution.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing across the site.
• Analyze and implement corrective actions to maintain high quality and productivity levels.
• Support and lead a team while handling administrative tasks and fostering strong team culture.
• Analyze performance data and suggest process improvements to enhance customer service.
• Collaborate with other managers to standardise shift processes.
• Maintain safety standards, monitor process efficiency, and manage routine team operations.
• Handle individual escalations, drive process‑improvement projects, and contribute to operational contingency planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• 1+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Physical ability to push/pull wheeled dollies loaded with up to 100 lb during shifts.
• Preferred: 2+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques.
