Area Manager I – Operations

About the role

As an Area Manager I – Operations you will lead a large, diverse team at an Amazon fulfillment site, ensuring safety, productivity and quality while adapting to ever‑changing demand. You will be hands‑on, working directly on the floor and collaborating with peers to continuously improve processes.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing across all shifts.
• Analyze performance data and implement corrective actions to maintain high quality and productivity.
• Support, coach and manage a team while handling administrative duties.
• Identify and suggest process improvements to optimize work and enhance customer service.
• Collaborate with other managers to standardise shift processes and drive operational consistency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue‑badge/FTE) experience.
• Minimum 2 years of employee and performance management experience.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights and holidays.
• Physical capability to push/pull wheeled dollies loaded with up to 100 lb.
• Preferred: 2+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques.
