Area Manager I – Operations

About the role

When you join Amazon as an Area/Shift Manager, you’ll lead a large, diverse team to ensure your area meets demand. This hands‑on position offers exposure to global operations and the challenge of keeping processes running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing across the site.
• Analyze and implement corrective actions to maintain high quality and productivity.
• Support and lead a team while handling administrative duties and building strong culture.
• Analyze performance data and suggest process improvements to optimise work and enhance customer service.
• Collaborate with other managers to standardise shift processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights and holidays.
• Physical ability to push/pull wheeled dollies loaded up to 100 lb.
• Preferred: 2+ years experience with performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques.
