Assistant Distribution Center Supervisor

About the role

The Assistant Distribution Center Supervisor supports daily warehouse operations, ensuring smooth flow from receiving to dispatch while maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily floor activities across receiving, putaway, picking, packing, dispatch, quality, and inventory control.
• Drive team‑level KPIs such as picking accuracy, throughput, and dispatch SLA compliance.
• Monitor equipment usage, care, and basic maintenance for MHE, Hools, and RF scanners.
• Investigate damage, defects, and picking inaccuracies to prevent recurring losses.
• Lead a shift team of 20‑30 full‑time and outsourced staff, conducting monthly 1‑on‑1s and development planning.
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new hires and contingent workers.
• Enforce company policies, workplace discipline, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with Operations Leaders, Demand Planning, Inventory Control, Finance, and agency partners to ensure seamless handoffs and contractor performance.
• Maintain accountability for stock levels, product availability, and cost‑containment initiatives.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of experience in warehousing and distribution centre operations.
• Solid knowledge of DC processes, inventory control, and basic finance concepts.
• Strong communication skills and a hands‑on attitude.
• Robust interpersonal and intercultural abilities.
• Very good English proficiency.

Required skills

• Proficiency with material handling equipment (MHE, Hools, RF scanners).
• Advanced Excel and ERP system usage.
