Assistant Manager Demand Planning

About the role

Talabat, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is looking for an Assistant Manager Demand Planning to grow its grocery store concept tMart, a cloud store offering 30-minute delivery of groceries at hypermarket prices. The role covers demand planning and replenishment for tMart stores and warehouses in Egypt, with a team of demand planners managing back-office data.

Key responsibilities

• Organise the forecasting of supply demand for stores, create purchase orders for replenishment and maintain store availability
• Manage the transition to 3PL, handle partner relations and apply best practices
• Be accountable for the overall demand planning and replenishment of tMart stores and warehouses in Egypt and the performance of direct reports
• Manage stock worth AED 20M, issuing about 8,000 POs per week for stores and distribution centres
• Analyse and report inventory and purchase forecasts accurately and on time
• Provide demand planning and replenishment insights and initiatives to keep availability aligned with the business plan, including supplier service levels, aging stock optimisation and warehouse and store stock issues
• Guide store supervisors and admins and proactively support commercial and operations teams so supplies and suppliers are not affected

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of demand planning fundamentals and end-to-end demand forecasting
• FMCG demand planning and replenishment experience is a must
• Warehouse management or 3PL partner relations experience is a must
• Supervisory responsibilities and ability to lead, coordinate and guide others
• Ability to guide senior-level executives and manage the expectations of multiple stakeholders
