Assistant Manager – RO Desalination Plant

About the role

The Assistant Manager will support the operation of a reverse‑osmosis (RO) desalination plant in El Gouna, ensuring continuous water production that meets quality, safety and regulatory standards. This role combines hands‑on maintenance, performance monitoring and coordination with laboratory and regulatory teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and supervise corrective and preventive maintenance on all RO units and associated equipment.
• Monitor daily measurements, logs and performance records to guarantee proper plant functionality.
• Ensure water production quality complies with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Adjust RO parameters such as pressure, flow rates, recovery ratios and chemical dosing as needed.
• Maintain availability of spare parts, consumables and tools; manage chemical and material inventory.
• Lead troubleshooting during plant abnormalities or performance drops.
• Coordinate with the laboratory for regular water quality testing and act on deviations.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly operation reports.
• Enforce HSE standards within the plant.
• Supervise operators and technicians, providing training and ensuring adherence to SOPs.
• Support planning of plant improvements, upgrades and energy‑efficiency optimisation.
• Work with the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation to obtain required permits for groundwater wells.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Hands‑on experience operating and maintaining RO desalination plants.
