Assistant Professor / Instructor – Human Resources

About the role

The College of Business at Louisiana State University of Alexandria seeks a full‑time Assistant Professor or Instructor in Human Resource Management. This nine‑month faculty position supports teaching, scholarship, and service within a vibrant business school serving Central Louisiana.

Key responsibilities

• Teach 12–15 credit hours per semester in subjects such as HR management, organizational behavior, employment law, compensation, talent management, and training.
• Deliver instruction in face‑to‑face, hybrid, and online formats, ensuring student‑centered learning.
• Participate in curriculum planning, program review, and development of applied learning opportunities (internships, case competitions, SHRM chapter activities).
• Maintain an active scholarship program aligned with ACBSP expectations.
• Contribute to ACBSP accreditation through assessment and continuous improvement activities.
• Support student recruitment, retention, outreach, and alumni engagement initiatives.
• Engage in departmental, college, university, and professional service, including committee work and community partnerships.
