Assistant/Associate Professor in Molecular Biology (Bioinformatics)

About the role

The Faculty of Basic Sciences at King Salman International University is seeking a full‑time or part‑time Assistant or Associate Professor in Molecular Biology with a strong background in Bioinformatics. The position involves teaching, student advising, research, and service activities within a vibrant, interdisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach three courses per semester, including classroom, laboratory, and tele‑communication formats.
• Prepare and update teaching materials, design examinations, and evaluate student work.
• Supervise independent study projects and guide student research.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to undergraduate and graduate students.
• Conduct research and scholarly activities in molecular biology and bioinformatics.
• Participate in departmental service, cooperative extension, and administrative duties.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Molecular Biology.
• Minimum three years of teaching experience after completing the Ph.D.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Proficient use of computers and educational technology in teaching.
