Associate Maintenance

About the role

Delivery Hero is looking for an Associate Maintenance professional in Maadi, Egypt, on a temporary basis. The role covers routine preventive maintenance inspections and hands-on repairs across tmart dark stores and warehouse facilities, keeping operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance inspections at assigned tmart dark stores and warehouses, and carry out corrective actions on site.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration and plumbing systems, and respond to emergency breakdown calls.
• Coordinate with store operations teams to schedule maintenance windows with minimal impact on order fulfilment.
• Maintain maintenance logs, work orders and spare-parts inventory in the facility management system, and ensure compliance with health, safety and regulatory standards.
• Liaise with external contractors and vendors, supervising and quality-checking their work.
• Report on maintenance KPIs such as MTTR, PM completion rate and energy consumption to the Maintenance Manager, and support energy-efficiency initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (required).
• At least 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a facility, industrial or logistics/warehousing setting; experience with dark stores or fulfilment centres is highly preferred.
• Proven track record managing preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Willingness to travel regularly to multiple store locations and flexible availability, including possible weekend or on-call support during peak periods.

Required skills

• Electrical systems: panels, wiring, motor controls, lighting and UPS systems.
• Mechanical systems: HVAC, refrigeration, conveyors, pumps and compressors.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics and equipment manuals.
• Familiarity with facility management / CMMS software is an advantage.
