Associate Manager, Project Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Associate Manager, Project Engineer to lead the design, implementation and start‑up of capital investment projects at our 6th of October manufacturing site. The role ensures that projects meet Nestlé’s standards for safety, quality and performance while supporting business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Project Engineering Manager in developing and adhering to the investment project charter.
• Prepare and execute basic and detailed engineering designs, specifications, schedules and cost estimates.
• Monitor project progress against plans, resolve operational issues and minimise delays.
• Select, qualify and coordinate external contractors and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with Nestlé standards, local regulations and safety requirements throughout construction and commissioning.
• Provide technical support during the start‑up phase and facilitate a smooth hand‑over to operations.
• Prepare and distribute engineering documentation, including final project reports and maintenance feedback.
• Close projects formally and hand over all relevant documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience in managing capital projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of project controls, cost estimation and scheduling.
• Ability to work safely and ensure safety of personnel and equipment.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with internal teams and external contractors.
