Associate Technical Project Manager (PMO)

About the role

PwC's Egypt Technology and Innovation Centre (ETIC) is looking for a Senior Associate Technical Project Manager (Associate PMO/Project Coordinator) in its Advisory practice. The role leads technical projects, ensuring timely delivery with high quality, and works closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to implement technology strategies. It sits within the project portfolio management function, which oversees project selection, prioritisation and resource allocation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project governance and PMO responsibilities for technical projects, using agile and traditional project management approaches, and drive project support so projects are delivered on time, within scope and on budget.
• Work with internal stakeholders, clients and vendors to gather requirements and align projects with strategic objectives.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams, help resolve issues, mitigate risks and ensure deliverable quality.
• Assess and improve project management processes and tools, and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Report regularly on progress, risks and issues, and ensure compliance with PwC's quality standards and frameworks.
• Support planning, scheduling, budget tracking and resource coordination, and help identify and remove delivery blockers.
• Bridge communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders and support team collaboration and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Foundational understanding of Agile and Lean practices, able to support team adoption of tools and techniques.
• Familiarity with waterfall methodologies such as PRINCE2, including structured project phases and communication.
• Able to explain complex technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to track project progress, monitor workflows and use established tools to keep teams focused.
• Understanding of the project lifecycle and its phases, and ability to support project owners and operational teams.
