Audit & Assurance Manager – Financial Services (Cairo)

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an experienced Audit & Assurance Manager to lead audit engagements for clients in the financial services sector. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, applying professional skepticism and delivering high‑quality audit outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Build trust and credibility with multiple stakeholders while providing constructive challenge on engagement issues.
• Review documentation of transaction flows and test relevant controls early in the audit cycle.
• Suggest mitigating testing when controls are ineffective, applying professional skepticism to assess fraud risk and potential misstatements.
• Identify opportunities to add value by integrating specialist expertise across the firm.
• Participate in group risk assessment and coordinate work of component auditors.
• Prepare and review referral instructions, set expectations for group auditors, and evaluate their responses.
• Conduct regular file checks, ensure all audit points are cleared, and choose appropriate file structures for each engagement.
• Engage early with the extended audit team, clearly communicating responsibilities and deadlines.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA or equivalent preferred.
• Significant experience auditing financial institutions and complex financial transactions.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to exercise professional skepticism.
• Proven ability to lead audit teams and coordinate multi‑entity engagements.
