Barista – Coffee & Beverage Specialist

About the role

The Barista role at Alshaya Group in Cairo is a full‑time, on‑site position focused on delivering high‑quality coffee and beverage experiences. You will interact directly with customers, ensure product consistency, and uphold hygiene standards throughout your shift.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve hot and cold coffee and beverage drinks according to brand standards.
• Operate coffee‑making equipment safely and maintain a clean and organized service area.
• Assist customers with menu selection, process cash and electronic payments accurately.
• Restock supplies and support store opening and closing procedures.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet store targets and ensure efficient, welcoming service.

Required profile

• Strong customer service orientation with clear communication and a welcoming attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, manage multiple orders and maintain accuracy under pressure.
• Team‑player with a positive approach to supporting colleagues.
• Reliability in handling cash, operating POS systems and reconciling transactions.
• Commitment to hygiene and safety standards, including local food safety regulations.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and holidays as required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; prior barista or retail experience in an international brand is an advantage.
