Batch Plant Manager (Concrete Background)

About the role

Holcim is seeking a Batch Plant Manager to lead the Readymix Batch Plant in Ain Al‑Sokhna, Egypt. The role is responsible for the overall operation of the plant, ensuring safety, productivity, and financial targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce health and safety legislation, Lafarge safety standards, and promote a safety culture across all employees and contractors.
• Provide monthly safety performance reports, lead investigations of major incidents, and develop improvement plans.
• Collaborate with the Manufacturing Director on annual budgeting, monitor cost‑saving initiatives, and report capital expenditure needs.
• Drive operational performance, minimise equipment downtime, and oversee concrete plant erection, refurbishment, and electrical works.
• Manage project and plant erection teams, submit regular reports on safety, fleet cost, and maintenance.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a concrete or ready‑mix batch plant.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and ability to lead safety initiatives.
• Experience with budgeting, cost control, and capital expenditure planning.
• Leadership skills to manage multidisciplinary teams and external contractors.
• Ability to oversee plant erection, major refurbishments, and electrical work safely.
