Batch Plant Manager – Concrete Operations

About the role

Manage the entire scope of operations in the Readymix Batch Plant to ensure the company meets its operational targets while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce health and safety legislation, promote a safety culture, and provide monthly safety performance reports.
• Lead investigations of major safety incidents and develop H&S improvement plans.
• Discuss annual budget requirements, analyse accounts, achieve cost‑saving targets and manage capital expenditure submissions.
• Monitor actual performance against budget and participate in quarterly business reviews.
• Drive initiatives to maximise operational performance, minimise equipment and truck downtime.
• Oversee concrete plant erection, removals, major refurbishments and related electrical works.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a readymix batch plant or similar concrete production facility.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and ability to lead safety initiatives.
• Experience preparing and controlling plant budgets and capital expenditure plans.
• Capability to supervise plant erection, refurbishment and electrical work projects.
