Batch Plant Manager – Ready‑Mix Operations

About the role

The Batch Plant Manager will lead the Ready‑Mix concrete production facility in Ain Al‑Sokhna, ensuring safe, efficient and cost‑effective operations that meet Holcim’s performance targets.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce health and safety legislation, Lafarge safety standards and promote a strong safety culture across all employees and contractors.
• Prepare and submit monthly safety performance reports, lead investigations of major incidents and develop improvement action plans.
• Collaborate with the Manufacturing Director on annual budgeting, cost‑saving initiatives and capital expenditure planning.
• Monitor actual financial performance against targets and contribute to quarterly business reviews.
• Drive operational excellence by reducing equipment and truck downtime, overseeing plant erection, major refurbishments and electrical works.
• Manage project and erection teams, supervise random activities such as access‑platform installation, and ensure compliance with safe work instructions.
• Provide regular reports on health & safety, fleet costs and maintenance activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a Ready‑Mix or concrete batch plant.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and ability to lead safety investigations.
• Solid budgeting and cost‑control skills with experience preparing capital expenditure requests.
• Leadership capability to direct multidisciplinary teams and coordinate plant‑related projects.
