Budgeting and Reporting Section Head

About the role

The Budgeting and Reporting Section Head will lead the annual budgeting process, ensure accurate month‑end closing of group overheads, and provide reliable financial analysis to support strategic decisions across business units.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate the annual budgeting process and coordinate with department heads to ensure timely and accurate department budgets.
• Allocate central overhead budgets and supply required data for budgeting activities.
• Analyze group overheads during month‑end closing and deliver performance data for reports.
• Identify issues and errors, recommending efficiency improvements for business units and accounting.
• Gather, organize, and reconcile financial data from all accounting departments, matching transactions with the General Ledger.
• Compile and analyze financial reports, highlighting discrepancies that need senior‑management attention.
• Prepare financial reports with actionable conclusions for operational strategy implementation.
• Review and suggest modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
• Support business units in uploading budget figures to Hyperion.
• Produce monthly net‑profit analysis reports for all companies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and month‑end closing processes.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to detect discrepancies and propose corrective actions.
• Excellent coordination skills to work with multiple department heads and business units.
• Ability to prepare clear, data‑driven reports for senior management.

• Hyperion budgeting and reporting platform.
• General Ledger (GL) reconciliation.
