Business Analyst – Real Estate Development

About the role

The Business Analyst supports the Development team by preparing, analysing, monitoring and updating financial models, feasibility studies, business plans and investment assessments for real‑estate development projects. This role provides data‑driven insights and financial recommendations to aid strategic decision‑making and portfolio growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update detailed financial models for residential, commercial, mixed‑use and other real‑estate development projects.
• Conduct financial analysis including IRR, NPV, payback period calculations and sensitivity analysis.
• Assist in cash‑flow forecasting, funding requirements planning and capital allocation assessments.
• Monitor project financial performance against approved budgets, forecasts and business plans.
• Prepare feasibility studies, business plans, investment memoranda and financial presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Conduct market research, benchmarking and competitor analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with Development, Design, Commercial, Projects, Procurement, Finance and Investment teams to validate assumptions and ensure data integrity.
• Produce periodic reports, dashboards and financial summaries for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in real‑estate development, financial analysis, investment analysis or corporate finance.

Required skills

• Advanced financial modelling and valuation.
• Feasibility analysis and investment evaluation techniques.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of real‑estate financial software and analytical tools.
