Business Continuity Management Officer

About the role

A leading digital bank is hiring a Business Continuity Management Officer through Envision Employment Solutions. Reporting to the Head of BCM and Resilience, you help build, write and test the bank's continuity plans, support the crisis team during incidents, and keep critical services running.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct and maintain business impact analyses (BIAs) with business units, setting MTPD, RTO, RPO and resource needs
• Carry out risk assessments covering site, technology, people, supplier and cyber threats, and recommend mitigations
• Develop, review and maintain BCPs, recovery procedures, call trees and work area recovery arrangements
• Work with IT to align disaster recovery plans and IT service continuity with business recovery needs
• Plan and run annual testing and exercises, including tabletop, call tree, alternate site and DR failover/failback tests, and track lessons learned and corrective actions
• Support the crisis management framework, including CMT structures, escalation criteria, communication plans and scenario playbooks
• Act as coordinator during real incidents: support the crisis team, maintain logs and situation reports, and help with post-incident reviews
• Assess third-party and outsourced continuity arrangements and ensure contracts and SLAs reflect recovery requirements
• Maintain BCM policies and procedures in line with ISO 22301 and CBE requirements, and support audits, inspections and ISO 22301 certification
• Manage BCM tools and the BCM platform, including mass notification systems, and run awareness and training sessions
• Prepare BCM status reports, KPIs and dashboards for management and risk committees

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Computer Science, IT or a related field
• 2 to 4 years of experience in business continuity, operational resilience or a related risk role, ideally in banking or financial services
• Hands-on experience with BIAs, risk assessments, BCPs, BCP exercises and DR tests, and crisis management support
• Good knowledge of ISO 22301 and ISO 22313, familiarity with ISO/TS 22317, ISO 22361 and ISO/IEC 27031
• Familiarity with CBE regulations on business continuity and resilience, and the Egypt Financial Cybersecurity Framework
• Preferred: BCI CBCI, DRI ABCP/CBCP, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer/Auditor, ITIL or ISO 27001 Foundation

Required skills

• Understanding of IT infrastructure, data centres, backup and replication, and DR concepts
• Experience with BCM software and mass notification tools (e.g. Fusion Risk Management, Archer BCM, Castellan, Everbridge) is an advantage
• Calm, organised and decisive under pressure, with clear written and verbal communication
