Business Development Associate

About the role

CID Consulting is looking for a Business Development Associate in Cairo to drive business growth and innovation. The role focuses on generating and validating leads with private sector clients, pitching the firm's corporate practice areas and services, and managing the business development process from lead generation through to contract closure.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and validate leads and build a pipeline of business development opportunities with private sector clients.
• Pitch CID's corporate practice areas and services to clients, mainly executives and middle management, and understand their needs to prepare detailed briefs of scope and intervention.
• Manage the business development process from lead generation and validation, technical scoping and financial quotation, to contract negotiation and closure.
• Build partnerships that allow CID to expand its service offerings and work with practice leads to design winning solutions.
• Nurture long-lasting relationships with clients, consultants, partners and key stakeholders, and negotiate commercial terms of projects.
• Work with project teams to assess implementation and propose service innovations that meet market needs.

Required profile

• 5-8 years of experience in consultative selling or marketing in a B2B environment, such as account management in a marketing agency, strategy or management consulting, business development, or solution architect roles in IT services.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Political Science or a relevant field.
• Proven experience pitching to C-suite and middle management, building client and stakeholder relationships, and growing a network of clients, consultants and partners.
• Ability to draft professional documents and presentations, and perfect command of spoken and written English and Arabic.
